Within Xinjiang’s extraordinary range of landscapes, scenery alone was not Aksu’s strongest reason to stop. Our proposal began with its place in a longer journey: what travellers needed on arrival, and what might make them glad they had stayed.

Food, rest, supplies and time in the city became part of the thinking. A well-considered stop could support the days ahead while leaving a memory of Aksu itself.

The work continues to inform how we plan journeys: the time between major destinations deserves attention too.

放在整個新疆來看，阿克蘇的風光並不特別出眾。我們因此從它在旅程中的位置開始想：到達的那一天，旅客需要甚麼？離開以後，又會記得甚麼？

好好睡一晚、吃頓飯、補齊下一段路需要的東西，也留一點時間走進城市。路邊買的一箱蘋果，可能就成了這次停留最鮮明的記憶。

我們把這些日常放進方案，希望阿克蘇既能照顧接下來的路，也留下自己的味道。有時，一段旅行是否舒服，就在這些停留裡。
