Urad Middle Banner

At the local government’s invitation, we travelled to Urad Middle Banner in winter to study its landscape, history and place along the border.

Our proposal considered different reasons to visit. Nearby travellers could return more often; someone coming from farther away might want enough time to develop an interest, such as spending several days learning to ride.

The work brought the audience, the length of stay and the experience into the same conversation. Each needed to make sense alongside the others.

受當地政府邀請，我們在冬天走進烏拉特中旗。看地貌，也了解歷史、邊境與軍旅記憶，再思考：甚麼樣的人，會願意為這裡出發？

附近的人，也許週末就會來；遠道而來的人，可能願意留幾天，認真學騎馬。同一片地方，可以容納不同的興趣與停留方式。

我們把這些差別放進方案裡。值得走多遠、留下多久，要從旅客真正想做的事開始考慮。
